Information on Ozanam House
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society is a voluntary organisation working directly with people in need through an action-oriented programme, attempting to effect positive change through social justice. Our work primarily involves person-to-person contact. However, we also involve ourselves in key social services, coordinating various community programmes and projects, believing that access to employment opportunities, education and health services are key determinants of social well being.
Ozanam House Community Resource Centre
A brief history
With the relocation of the Societies Clothing Warehouse from the house to Railway St some years ago, and as part of it's commitment to the area, it was decided in consultation with the eight Society Conferences in the area, local community groups and statutory agencies, to renovate Ozanam House and to develop it into a state of the art Community Resource Centre for the local community.
The centre was officially opened by An Taoiseach in 2002. Since that time we have continued to develop a variety of programmes including Adult Education, Youth Programmes, Communiny Programmes and Childcare services.
