Glenalbyn Masters Swimming Club

Glenalbyn Masters is based at Glenalbyn Swimming Pool in Stillorgan, Co. Sunday Sessions 

 
The Sunday sessions with Matt McCusker
 
will resume at 8.00a.m. on Sunday 15 January.
 
Swim Ireland cards are also available for
 
collection from the Pool.

Club end of season Lunch/AGM 

 
The Club held its end of season lunch and AGM
   
in FitzGerald's of Sandycove on 15 October
 
- about 50 people attended and a special presentation
 
was made to our successful channel swimmers

Channel Success for Sorcha Barry

 
Congratulations to Sorcha Barry for her
 
successful recent crossing of the English Channel
 
- the second Glenalbyn swimmer to successfully cross
 
this year, Susanna Muphy being the first. 
 
She completed the swim in just over 12 hours.
 
Sorcha also took part in an ealier relay crossing
 
that included Susanna and Lucy Gaynor.
     
 

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
   

Club Sea Swim 2011   

 
 
Race was held on Sunday 5 June at
 
Sandycove Harbour.  The numbers were a little
 
down on last year but the event was still very enjoyable
 
  with a challenging swell.  Ben Keogh of Pheonix
 
 and Caroline Orr of Glenalbyn won the men's and
 
 womens' races respectively.  Glenalbyn won the
 
  men's team event and Eastern Bay the women's.
 
   Thanks to eveyone who helped on the day.
