Major Success for Glenalbyn
Glenalbyn Masters member Sorcha Barry
won the women's title in the Liffey Swim on 12
September at her first attempt. Congratulations to
her and all the women in the club as they
carried off the team prize in the Liffey and first place
in the season's rankings. Helena Butterfield also won
the women's swimmer of the year prize. The men were
not too far behind - being ranked third for
the season. John McCarthy was joint winner
of the men's swimmer of the year competition.
Sea Swim 2009
The Club held another very successful sea swim on
on the evening of 16 June. The re-scheduled time
meant a shorter faster swim than usual but the
attendence was excellent with about 260 taking
part. Some photos and the full results are on
the 'photos' and 'results' pages of this site.
