Beltane Fire Festival - Burning The Wicker Man

Burning The Wicker Man
As part of this year's May Day/Beltane Fire Festival, we at Secrets Of The Earth invite everyone to come along throughout the day and help with the construction of a monumental Wicker Man who will be burned in a public ceremony in the evening.

Beltane's Biggest Drumming Circle
Drummers from all over Ireland and beyond are coming together to create a huge drumming circle to drum up healing energy for mother earth. There will be dancing and drumming around our maypole.
Traditional Music Sessions
There will be informal sessions throughout the day, so bring your instruments along and join in.
We would like to invite all musicians, especially drummers to come along and join in the entertainment.
Craft Market We will have lots of wonderful craft stalls including fair trade goods, new age, jewellery, natural handmade bath and beauty products, musical instrument maker etc.
May Queen
A May Queen will be chosen, so dont forget to dress for the occasion, regardless of age!
Workshops There will be workshops on a Traditional Celtic May Day theme.

Dublin now has a Taiko Japanese drumming ensemble, Taiseiyo Taiko Ireland (www.taikoireland.com). Sadly we are a bit too big and loud to join in with the drum circle, but we do have some interesting workshops and concerts coming up in the new year, and are always looking for new members/collaborators.
