drumcircle is on from 2 - 4pm on saturdays, but only when its not raining. seriously, only when its not raining, and even then, it might not be on, it all depends on whether people turn up or not, its not paid work for anyone to actually show up you see, or if there's a match, the rugby, let's say, then a few might not go to the drumcircle, depends, all depends...mind you, if you like your drumming, right, you can see it as a place available to YOU every saturday to bate a drum as loud as you like for two hours in public, (thats called 'practice' in layman's terms) and if there's no-one there, even better, you dont have to pander to someone else's rhythm.

The space will be open every saturday between 2 - 4pm

An easy way to find it is to go under the arch of Christst Church and down the hill to the Liffey, the amphitheatre is on your right at the bottom.
now, people are having problems finding it....but thats probably becuase there's no-one actually there playing anything, hmmmm, let's hope it changes for the summmer.


the burb
The main aim of this drum circle is to have a public space for people to practice and play drumming, whether it be African, Latin-American, Irish, or European rhythms. People are expected to be open to exploring new and different rythms, also please feel free just to sit and listen, or dance, or play the shakers etc.

This drum circle was set up by Rossa O'Snodaigh, who plays djembe with an Irish-fusion group called Kila. Rossa will be there every now and then to help facillitate the drumming, but there is a need for others to step up and give a bit of guidance to the music. If you have some rhythms you'd like to share / teach, then please talk to the facillitator(s) on the day to organise a slot. Finally, the event is free to all, every saturday.
