BRIGINS

 BRIGINS

The Brigin section is for girls between the ages of 7-10/11.

They follow the newly launched ‘CHOICES’ Programme and their version is call ‘LET'S DO IT.

This incorporates modules in Creativity, Health, Outdoor Activity, International development, Communication, and Environment.

A balance of activities is encouraged including Games, Crafts, Outdoor Activity and Patrol Activities!

What they get up to:

v     Games

v     Arts & crafts

v     Campfire songs

v     Patrol work

v     Badges

v     Day trips & Weekends away

v     Attend Area / Diocesan / National events

Brigins have lots of energy and are very eager to try new things.

At this stage a small amount of responsbility is introduced through
the Patrol system. Patrols are smaller groups or betwen 6-8 Brigins.  Each patrol has a Patrol Leader (PL) and Assistant Patrol Leader (APL).  The PL & APL help the younger members of their patrol with crafts and tasks.

The highlight of the Brigin year is the summer camp.  The girls go away for a weekend, where midnight feast, fun and laughter are the order of the day.

If you would like to join the fun, you will find meeting times and location in the Brigin Calendar page.
