Club Rules

 

 

Club Rules Revision 2010.

1.      A tee must be used for the tee shot at all times.

2.      A ball played out of bounds or lost from the tee shot must be replayed from the tee box with a loss of one stroke penalty. This will be the players third shot.

3.      A ball played out of bounds or lost from a shot other that a tee shot the player must place a spare ball and replay the shot from same position with the loss of one stroke penalty.

4.      When a ball is stuck in boundary fencing wire, hedging, trees or any man made object within the course it is deemed to be unplayable. The player must drop the ball a min of one club length not nearer the green from its sitting position and incur a one stroke penalty.

5.      A ball landing in an unplayable position must be dropped one club length not nearer the green with a one shot penalty.

6.      A ball landing in a bunker must not be addressed until ready to be played. No practice strokes in bunkers every stroke is counted as a shot. Players must rake bunkers after use.

7.      If two or more balls landing in a bunker a too close to each other to be played without interference with each other. All players to remove balls from bunker and then drop back into the bunker individually to play their next stroke.   

8.      When two or more players are on the green and putting. Should the ball of the player putting hit a stationary ball without asking for it to be marked the player putting will incur a penalty shot.

9.      Should a ball be hit and knocked from a green by another player teeing off. The ball cannot be replaced it must be played from where it lands.

10.  Should a ball be hit and knocked from a green by another player pitching in. The ball may be replaced by agreement to nearest its original green position. No penalty.

  1. If two or more players are level at the finish of a game. The winner will be decided on the NET back count. Decided by back nine, back six, then front nine and front six. If still level a NET sudden death will decide using holes, 5,2,7,9,1,3…..etc following on to next lowest index until there is a winner.

 

Out of bounds is anywhere a ball leaves the boundary of the course denoted by white paint/markers.

GUR Ground Under Repair is denoted by white paint/markers within the course free drop no penalty.

 

 

 

Please bring to the notice of the committee any other rule that may need clarification or inclusion in this list. These are local rules to which all members must adhere to. For unforeseen issues that arise the general rules of Golf will apply.

Committee decision will be final.
