Drama and Acting courses are available for young people according to their ages, and are based in the Flying Turtle Studio on the second floor of the Abbey School. The instructors are professionally trained in the process of acting, and also in how to facilitate for the particular ages that they are working with. All young people's courses incorporate the same essential techniques used in acting classes and will work on vocal and physical expression, developing imagination, engaging in an ensemble, developing character and narrative, and strengthening the ability to focus. Above all else the objectives of young people's classes are to build the self esteem of the student and to have a fantastic time while doing it!
Terms of 8 and 9 and week courses run between September and June on Saturdays and including presentation performances in the Autumn and Spring terms. The winter term is for studio process only, and does not have a public peformance. The summer months will have youth drama for fun camps for each age group.
