Ní hea. Ach tá cúpla focail agam. Tá mé ag foghlaim Gaeilge an t-am ar fad. Bhuel nuair a bhfuil soar-am agam.
No. But I have a few words. I am learning Irish all the time. Well, when I have free time.
Is breá liom Gaeilge. – I love Irish
Tá sé níos éasca é a scríobh ná é a labhairt
Its easier to write it than to speak it
An bhuil cead agam dull amach go dti an leahtras mar sead a thalle?

We all have it stuck in our heads but us Irish are a stubborn lot. Try 'make' us do something and we'll do our utmost not to do it. But if its something we like doing we'll have no issue.
So the task is to try and get people learning for the love of the language/culture/country.
Well Red I think u just hit the nail on the head. We are a stubborn race, and will not learn somethin we are TOLD to learn. After comin thru the school system we should all be able to speak the language, but very few of us do, incluldin meself. We all have a smatterin of it but couldnt really hold a conversation, shame on us!!!! But fair play to u!!!![]()
Well Pammy, its never too late to learn.
I was in a café in Glencolmcille a few weeks ago and I seen two elderly ladies having a yap 'as gaeilge'. I spoke to them briefly and they were up their on a beginners course and from what I heard they were doing very well and had picked up a good bit in their week with Oideas Gael.
