graveyard at kevin street was the cabbage garden, the name has something to do with cromwells troops planting cabbages there. there was also a hugenot graveyard there, it is now a park and some of the headstones are still around the wall. st. brides church was in bride street, the other side of st. patricks park, on the corner of bride street and bride road where the iveagh hostel and iveagh baths are.
the shirt factory was called The Automac in the 1960's it is now part of john field road and there are new apartments (private i think) there too.

i made a miskake about the dates it wes 1956 i worked there we used to make macs which were sold to clearys the blazers was called sivad which was spelt davis backwords also garberdene coats weremade there the manager name was kent i left in 1958 and opened the pet shop in patrick st happy days
hay...memories are dateless.....but are u recking me head about the name....but my gaberdene..was made in dublin and bought in clearys..and i was put on the bold step for three weeks because of this.......and also refusing to go to geograpy class......yes this is true
