Hi Grumpy, hope you don't mind a question from another grumpy old man ! I'm looking for background on my dad's family. They lived in and around Powerscourt/Mount St/ Warrington Place. The family name is Dobbins. He is John, and he had thre brothers, Michael, Paddy and Peter. Parents were Peter Dobbins and Margaret Cullen.
You may be of an age group to maybe recall the family names of..Dobbins..Cullen..Kenny..and Walsh.....all part of our family group in the court.
    Any luck ?

Hi Grumpy, just reading your post on Powerscourt, my hubby knows most of the people you are talking about, just wondered if you lived in the area or maybe you know him...

There are many roads mentioned throughout in the Sundrive/Crumlin/Kimmage area but there doesn’t seem to be a previous profile on Blarney Park featured on the Dublin.ie Forums. Why would that be, does anyone know? It would be interesting to hear their opinions or reason for their exclusive surround revived form of Neolithic wall. Blarney Park is unique in that its surrounding wall was built at what must have been considerable expenses to residents subscribe to its building. Apart from Dublin Castle, Blarney Park is a unique situation in Dublin. Get out the pens and let’s do some background research’s. KS
