Youth Focus Group
The Youth Focus Group held its inaugural General Meeting on the 14th April 2003.
Aims & Objectives

To promote the development of youth related policies and actions in the rollout of the Dublin City Development Board's Strategy

To promote consultation with, and involvement of, young people in the Development Strategy for Dublin City.

To identify how public funding is dispersed to Youth Services and Project throughout the City.

To lobby to ensure that that Youth Work in Dublin City is adequately resourced.

To seek to have the needs and priorities of young people heeded in the shaping of youth policy at both local and national level

To articulate and promote the needs, priorities and concerns of those working directly with young people
Activities:
The production and distribution of several posters encouraging young people to register to vote.
Research around identifying and quantifying the overall spending by various state agencies on young peoples' services and activities in Dublin city over the last three years.
The production and distribution of a poster encouraging young people to use their vote at election time.
The organisation of “Training for Trainers” Voter Education Workshops.
