Volunteer English Language Training
Dublin City Council, together with the City of Dublin VEC, DCU Language Services and Finglas for Diversity are piloting an initial English Language Tutor Programme to promote social interaction and skills sharing on a community wide basis this Autumn.
The course aims to provide volunteers with the skills to teach English as a Second Language to members of migrant cultural groups who need help with their English.
The course participants receive initial training and skills development as English language tutors so that they can share their skills and promote social interaction.
The volunteer tutors will then be matched with people living and working in their own communities who need help improving their English language skills.
