Chinese New Year 2010
Building on the success of Dublin Chinese New Year Festival (DCNYF) in the past two years we are delighted to launch our 2010 Festival celebrating the year of the Tiger, in the 4708th year of the Chinese calendar. DCNYF are committed to celebrating Sino-Irish relations showcasing Chinese culture and heritage to a new and wider audience while promoting integration. We are extending the festival into new areas this year, embracing links with our Irish past, new expressions of culture with national institutions and engaging with fresh exciting mediums to explore the intricate connection between our nations.
In the year that will see Shanghai host the largest ever World Expo with the theme “Better City, Better Life”, we wish the very best to the Irish Pavilion and all the participants at this wonderful venue on the banks of the Huang Pu river.
During these challenging times we hope the powerful and vigorous energy of Tiger brings fresh innovation, passion and strength to our cities and countries.
This is your Festival. This is your city. Welcome to the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival 2010. May the year bring you blessings of great fortune!
